Levi...
You are four years old. You just finished playing your first organized sport, YMCA basketball and are currently playing indoor soccer with all of your favorite buddies. Your Daddy and I were a little concerned about enrolling you because we thought you would whine anytime the ball got taken from you or someone didn't pass it to you but you have done a great job. No whining to speak of. You scored your first and only basket when Daddy and I weren't there and you were so excited to tell us about it over the phone! You enjoy soccer as much or more than basketball. I'm not sure if it's because you feel like your better at soccer or if you are just more comfortable playing on a team now.
You want to be friends with everyone. Your a people person and would be with friends ALL the time if we'd let you. You also have such a sweet and tender heart and get your feelings hurt if you think people are leaving you out or not giving you the proper amount of attention. You make friends fast and they become your best friends even faster.
You share surprisingly well, especially with you sister and brother. You also take the role of big brother VERY seriously. You love to protect, help, teach, and take care of Makayla and Parker. At times there have been fights over this because Makayla wants so desperately to do things by herself and you just want to help.
You are so excited for your baby sister to come. You wanted it to be a boy but were excited when you found out she is a girl. In your head, her being a girl made everything right in the world because that meant we will have an even number of boys and girls in our house. You loved being at the ultrasound and were actually able to point out her hands and feet and head even before we showed you. You are set on naming her Leesia which is not going to happen but I am sure you will understand. Speaking of that, you are becoming very understanding lately and I often here you say, "it's okay mom," if something doesn't go as planned.
You are very good with directions and one of your favorite things to do is tell us how to get places. You know how to get to many familiar places around town and can usually always get us home. You know multiple ways to get to different places and you love for me to challenge you by trying to trick you about which way to turn. I can never actually trick you :) You also love to discover new ways to get places. This will be very helpful later in life! I don't ever anticipate getting a call from you saying your lost. You have a hard time remembering how to spell your name but you do have our complete address memorized.
You love your preschool. Just recently we enrolled Makayla and you have really enjoyed having her come with you. I feared that you would argue at school but it seems you are best buddies. In fact today you proudly told me that you played trains with your sister at school today. You love show and tell. You love that you go to preschool at the same school that Daddy coaches water polo. You love that you get to go with all your buddies. In fact if I am the first parent to pick you up when school is over you always question me as to why I am there so early. You are definitely more interested in the social aspect than the assignments and we will see how that plays out in years to come.
You are starting to grasp what the Lord did for you. We have talked about it a lot the last few weeks. You know that Jesus loves you and that he died on the cross for your sins and you love Him in return. You don't quite see your need for His forgivness but each day provides opportunities for me to show you, so we are working on that :) I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do in your life and through your tender heart!
You are such a joy to be around and I love to spend one on one time with you. I am constantly amazed at fast you are growing up and am excited to be the one that gets to help lead and direct you. I love you my son!

This is so sweet Holly! Your kids are the most adorable little ones I've ever seen, and congrats on the little girl coming soon! Levi will love reading this when he is older, and it will be fun for you to look back on his personality growing & forming. :)
