Pumpkin Patch 2008

Today we went to Sauvie Island Farms to pick out a few pumpkins. It was a wonderful cool crisp fall day and we had the pleasure of enjoying many of falls best treats. This was our first year going to Sauvie Island and it was everything we were hoping for! We went on a tractor pulled hay ride, picked out pumpkins, watched a puppet show, climbed the hay pyramid, watched some pumpkins being shot out of a sling shot, walked through the petting zoo, and ate caramel apples, and we didn't even do everything! There was also face painting, a child size hay and corn maze, and a large inflatable slide. Makayla is unfortunately getting a cold and so she was not quite herself and didn't enjoy it as much as she could have but Levi was excited and ready to go. As soon as we wheeled our wagon out to where the pumpkins were Levi got out, picked up a cute little pumpkin just his size, and was ready to go. He could have cared less about the rest of the pumpkins. My mom and sister and my niece and nephew went with us and Levi really enjoyed following them around and being a big kid like they are. He is definitely at the age now where he wants to do everything HIMSELF and today was no exception. He climbed the hay pyramid BY HIMSELF, he picked out his pumpkin BY HIMSELF and he didn't want to hold my hand while we walked or sit on my lap or anything. I was very proud of him but it also makes me sad. He is such a big boy now! At least Makayla is still my baby! And though I hate seeing her sick and feel terrible for her I do like the way she cuddles me when she doesn't feel well, she's such a sweet heart! So here are our pictures, beware there are a lot!

Just getting there

Lucky! You get to wear warm clothes to your pumpkin patch! We're still in summer clothes! It's so not fall here.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know how much I love reading your blog. I love seeing the kiddos grow and hearing about their latest accomplishments. I have to admit though that every time you post I think you're going to announce baby #3! I hold my breath every time I open your blog!;) It's funny how we're always thinking babies!

Isaac is almost one... Hard to believe! Oh and just so you know, we're not getting a minivan! I'm not totally sold on the idea like I thought I was. Shaun loved Mike's comment! Also, how are you able to go to Hawaii every year? And why Maui? AND I can't believe you did it with the kids all on your own. Bravo! We had to take my parents and we only have one. I guess Shaun was the 2nd kid on the trip though b/c of the crutches and all!

So this is getting long. Maybe I'll just email you next time. Planning on a Cali trip soon?

Well, nap time! Miss you tons my dear friends!

Does Mike hate puppet shows, his facial expression in that picture looks like he was ready to walk out or start booing.

Yeah Miller, Mike wasn't too fond of the puppet show and we did in fact leave before it was over. Luckily it was free! I am however very impressed that you made it through all of those pictures and left a comment.
