Snowy Days, going on Weeks!

Well if you live in the Pacific NW then you know we've had snow on and off for a week now but the last couple of days it has really dumped on us and if you don't have 4WD then you are pretty snowed in. Personally I love the snow! I love the way it makes things quiet and peaceful looking. I love the way it lights up the night. I love seeing the joy on peoples faces when they play in it and I love driving and sliding in it. (When it is done safely of course) Today Mike even got the day off work! We have had a really fun week. Luckily we do have a 4WD Yukon and were able to get out when cabin fever started to set in. I'll post some more pictures of snow around town a little later. Levi gets really excited when we say we get to go outside but then once we're out there he isn't so sure for the first few minutes and Makayla just isn't so sure at all. You have to understand that the wind has also been pretty bad. So when the wind blows hard enough the snow gets blown right in your face. Levi does get used to it and starts to really enjoy himself. He loves to throw it and he loves to see OTHER people fall in it or get pushed down in it. We tried to sled but the snow was so soft that we just sink. Anyways, we have had a blast and I know most people are tired of the snow but I love it!

The first few pictures are from Dec. 15th, the second day it snowed. We got a couple of inches, just enough to stomp around in.

The next few are from Dec. 17th and we still had just a small amount of snow. Mike and Levi attempted to make a very small snow man and Mike also taught Levi how to make snow angels.

The rest are from today, we had started to get cabin fever and we now have a LOT of snow. We tried sledding today but the snow is so soft we just sink.

In the last picture my finger is on the top of a yard stick. YES, there are areas of our backyard that have 3ft. of snow!!!

I'm freezing cold just looking at your pictures! That's all it takes for me... I think I need to go put a jacket on! Remember, I come from a place that makes tumbleweed snowmen in the winter (Make fun all you want Mike, but I'm proud of it)! I think I have three times as many bathing suits as I do jackets! ;) Merry Christmas!!!
