Friday night we ventured up to the Zoo with my mom, my sister Kelly and her kids, and my brother Sean and his girlfriend. Luckily we went when we did because it has been closed due to weather since. It was cold outside (36F) but we all wore our snow pants, winter jackets, gloves, scarfs and boots and it really wasn't that bad. It stopped snowing shortly after we got there and we had a really good time. It was my first time, atleast since I can remember, and I was impressed with how many lights they put up! There was also a band playing and rudolph the red nose reindeer was walking around. Even though our kids are still pretty young this year I can see us making it an annual tradition that they will truly enjoy the next few years to come.

Afterwards Mike and I assumed the kids would fall asleep in the car on the way home but instead they had their own plans and were talking and laughing at each other the whole way. I tried to get a picture of Makayla as well but I couldn't do it while still obeying the seat belt laws and since the road did have some snow and it was close to freezing outside I decided I should keep my safety harness on!
